Travis Kelce ‘trying not to get too far down the road’ in cagey response to GMA question about Taylor Swift relationship

TRAVIS Kelce has admitted he isn't looking too far ahead in his relationship with Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs star, 34, went public with the pop sensation last summer.

Kelce joined Good Morning America on Thursday and was asked about his "well-talked-about personal life."
The NFL's most famous couple has been hit by engagement rumors in recent weeks.
But Travis is keeping both his feet on the ground as their romance continues to blossom.
"When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier," Kelce told GMA.

"I've always been a very grounded guy. It might not come off that way when I'm playing football.
"But off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road.
"Because you never know what opportunities are going to present themselves."
The football star also opened up on a recent collaboration with LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, as well as his fledgling acting career.

On the field, the league's highest-paid tight end is chasing a historic threepeat in 2024 after winning back-to-back rings.
Kelce recently joined his Chiefs teammates for a special visit to the White House following their triumph at Super Bowl LVIII.

Travis, 34, turned up in Washington last season for a similar celebration without a valid ID.
He told brother Jason on their podcast New Heights he was desperate to avoid a similar situation.
"I made sure - because of what happened last time and how embarrassed I was for going to the White House with an expired ID - I made sure that I brought my passport this time so that it showed that I was a citizen in Missouri," Travis said.
"I was official, and I was legit, and I was doing things the right way."
Travis revealed after walking in, "four or five Secret Service members" told him, "If you go up to that podium, we're authorized to tase you."
Taylor and Travis' body language shows they're 'in love'
Body language expert Blanca Cobb took a look at images of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce being affectionate in Lake Como.
She told The U.S. Sun that it's clear that they are the real deal and an "adorable couple."
"These two want to be next to each other," she said.
"With couples, you want an emotional connectedness and a physical connectedness," she explained.
"Her left shoulder is right underneath his right armpit. They’re seamed at the side. That's a really good sign.
"He has his arm draped casually across her back, with his right hand on her shoulder. And then she's grasping his hand that’s lying on her shoulder.
"That's good. This means both of them want to be physically connected — and they are.
"When you love somebody and you're feeling that love in the moment, you find ways to touch.
"With time, you would expect a couple to get more relaxed with each other, but I still think that they're very affectionate."
She also noted that while they walked, Travis stepped ahead in a protective gesture.
"He's a very protective type of guy," she said.
"I think for men, you protect what you love.
"And from everything that I've seen of these two, I really do believe that they love each other."
Taylor, in turn, can "really relax."
"Because she knows that he has her back. I really think that it gives her an opportunity to relax," said Cobb.
"She doesn't have to be on guard as much."
Later this month, Kelce is due to join girlfriend Swift on the latest leg of her Eras Tour in the United Kingdom.
The pop princess has three dates in Edinburgh, Scotland, across the next week.
She follows up the shows with gigs in Cardiff, Liverpool, and London.
Swift has lined up a stunning $4.2 million cottage in the idyllic Cotswolds for the love birds.
"Taylor has booked the cottage while she is over in the UK," a source told The U.S. Sun.

"She wants a place to unwind away from the tour and the countryside is her happy place.
"Taylor loves dressing up in sequins on stage but is most at home in muddy boots in the fresh air."
