A POPULAR pizza place found in twelve states is officially losing one location.
Coal brick-oven pizza lovers living in South Carolina will have to look elsewhere for their next piece of pie.
A Grimaldi’s Pizzeria restaurant in Greenville has shut its doors for good.
The franchise located on Woodruff Road in Magnolia Park, South Carolina gave Southerns a taste of New York charm with its city-themed experience.
But it suffered unbeknownst to its fans.
And it closed the location in silence as a result.

“We appreciate the support of the community and value every member of our Grimaldi’s family, including our guests," the Grimaldi's South Carolina location told local Fox affiliate WHNS.
"This was purely a business decision."
The Greenville location was one of two Grimaldi’s in South Carolina. The other is located in Mount Pleasant.
South Carolinians still craving Gramaldi's aren't completely out of luck though.

The other location in the state, located in Mount Pleasant, is still open.
There are 44 domestic company-owned and operated Grimaldi's Pizzeria locations and three franchised locations, per Grimaldi's.
SLICED OUT
Speaking of slice shops closing, Pizza Hut recently shuttered eight locations across two states.
The shutdowns are happening in Indiana and Ohio, according to prior reporting by The U.S. Sun.
"A few locations in Columbus, OH have closed, but Pizza Hut remains committed to providing outstanding service and products to our valued customers in the area," Pizza Hut told The U.S. Sun.
"We are working to transition the Indiana locations and hope many of them to reopen soon."
Pizza Hut closures in Indiana include:
- 715 N Main Street, Crown Point
- 250 W Ridge Road, Griffith
- 7878 East Ridge Road, Hobart
- 2510 Laporte Avenue, Valparaiso

Meanwhile, Mod Pizza confirmed 27 locations would be closing in April across California.
A former manager called the shutdowns a "disheartening" situation.
