Tyler Gregory Okonma — or Tyler, The Creator — broke the news to fans on social media in a tweet posted this morning.

“I hate saying this but i have to cancel lollapalooza and outside lands," Tyler wrote.

"I made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were.

"That is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love," he shared.

More about refunds

Despite the announcement, the singer did not disclose a reason for why he canceled his appearances.

The festivals worked quickly with Lollapalooza replacing him with Megan Thee Stallion and Outside Lands with Sabrina Carpenter as announced respectively via X/Twitter.

'GIVE ME A REFUND IMMEDIATELY'

Some fans were understanding about the sudden cancelation, one writing that "it's ok T," others were disappointed.

"Why did you cancel on your fans at Lollapalooza??" one angry fan questioned.

"We would at least like to know. You were the only reason me friends and I were going on Thursday..." they added. "To say we're disappointed and upset, is an understatement."

In another post, tagging Lollapalooza, the same fan demanded a refund.

Everyone sees a crowd at a concert - but have a high IQ if you can work out what's really going on in 10 seconds

"@lollapalooza GIVE ME A REFUND IMMEDIATELY FOR THURSDAY," the frustrated individual tweeted.

"I AM NOT INTERESTED WITHOUT Tyler. THIS IS THE WORST LINEUP IN YEARS AND YOU JUST MADE IT WORSE. give me a refund RIGHT NOW, or let people switch from Thursday."

"I spent almost 500$ to see my goat one time in my life," another person shared. "I can’t believe this s**t. I pray I can get a refund or resell them."

MONEY BACK?

People might not be thrilled about the news that Lollapalooza is not so keen to give out refunds.

In the festival's "Ticket and Wristband Policy" section on its website, Lollapalooza, it is emphasized that "All sales are FINAL – no refunds and no exchanges."
