Taking to social media a woman revealed she had got into an argument with her cousin over the name she picked out for her daughter.

She wrote: "My cousin is livid because I replied 'r/tragedeigh' on our family group chat."

The term 'tragedeigh' is often used online to describe when someone chooses a baby name that doesn't sit right with people.

She continued: "My family is what I would call 'quirky' because they're kinda problematic and using the right term would definitely offend them."

She revealed that her cousin recently gave birth to a baby girl and had shared photos on her Facebook page.

Her cousin then shared the post to the family group chat which included the unique name she had picked out.

"Her daughter's name is Lylyt Yvyh Yryhl, read as 'Lilith Eva Uriel'", the woman revealed.

"I was laughing my a**e off when I read it and she said she wanted her child to be 'cool and unique'.

"I replied 'r/tragedeigh' and she did not understand it until a younger member of the family explained what my response was."

But it seems her joke didn't land well with her cousin who responded by saying normal names were 's***ty and lacked creatvity.

I’m a mum-of-11 and my kids get called a ‘bunch of future felons’ - I don’t care what trolls say about my parenting but I’ll never let them attack my babies

"She then told me my name is s****ier and my parents aren't creative that's why I have a 'basic a**e' name (my parents were in the conversation too, btw)," she explained.

Despite the anger, the woman stuck by her opinion adding that she knew she was 'petty' for making the comment in the first place.

The post shared to Reddit went viral with thousands of comments.

Many revealed she was right to point out how bad the names were.
