Instead, savvy shoppers are racing to Argos to snap up bargain paddling pools that can do the job for a fraction of the cost.

And perhaps the best part of all?

One savvy woman has shared a little-known trick so you can nab a £20 paddling pool for just £10 - meaning you can save yourself half price.

Deciding not to gate-keep, Fiona Andrew rushed online to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and posted a snap of the 'Bestway Rectangular 7ft Paddling Pool' she purchased.

Alongside the post, she penned: "Bargain £10 in Argos today!

Perfect for kids ages 6+, the popular product features textured patterns on extra-wide sidewalls and is quick and easy to set up, taking a total of just five minutes to inflate.

Not only does it include a repair kit, but it's also super versatile and can be used as a sand pit, too.

The post quickly racked up several likes and comments from social media users up and down the country, with one praising: "Thank you for posting - managed to get one!"

Another similarly penned: "Thank you for posting this I've ordered one!"

Elsewhere, another delighted shopper named Shona Robbie also hurried online to show off her summer must-have purchases.
