Jeopardy! viewers call out another ‘useless’ interruption in middle of the show that ‘drives them crazy’
JEOPARDY! fans aren't happy about Wednesday's disruption.
Adriana Harmeyer returned to the show after a 15-day-long winning streak.
Drew Basile, a graduate student from Michigan and Survivor alum, and Tekla Sauter, a nonprofit strategist from Illinois, challenged the reigning champion in a heated game.
Unfortunately for Jeopardy! fans, the broadcast was interrupted halfway through for a weather alert.
Since Jeopardy! airs on local ABC stations, commercials, and alerts are often tailored for the state that viewers are located in.
One viewer from Detroit shared in a Reddit thread, "It is official. WDIV in Detroit hates Jeopardy. Yet again they interrupt the show for a useless hot weather alert."

"Omg that's annoying. I live in the midwest and sometimes storm alerts override it here, but at least I can understand with all the tornados we get. For hot weather would drive me crazy!" another viewer responded.
"And that’s with a contestant from Birmingham," a third noted, referencing Drew.
"And ironically Drew is from Birmingham, MI. I came from that area …. I would’ve been mad too," a fourth agreed.
The first named storm of the season, Tropical Storm Alberto, is responsible for a massive heatwave that is hitting the Midwest and Northeast.

DREW'S BIG WIN
Survivor alum, Drew, broke Adriana's winning streak.
The categories on the board for the first Jeopardy! round was, Poetic Objects, Roped In, Movie Refreshments, Oprah-Pourri, The White House, and Take To Task.
Adrianna proved why she was the reigning champion by ending the round with $8,100 compared to Drew's $5,600.
Tekla finished last with only $3,200.
The categories for the second round were, Historic Ships, TV Tidbits, It Was Once The Capital, “G”-Men, General Science, and Russian Ling.
Drew shined when he scored a Daily Double, picking up $10,000.
He scored a runaway win, going into Final Jeopardy! with $23,600, Tekla with $10,600, and Adrianna fell into a shocking last place with $9,300.
The category was Brands, and the clue was revealed as, "In 1978, a new cologne for men came out called this, what's being played in the company's iconic logo."
Tekla was the only contestant who correctly guessed, "Polo."
Despite Tekla's answer, Drew didn't wager enough to drop from first place and finished the show with, $23,482.
Tekla finished in second with $18,601, and Adrianna dropped to a surprising last place with only $7,900.

Celebrity Jeopardy! (primetime) - 1992 to present, has celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.
Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) - 2024 to present, will feature teams of three tasked with pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, host and airdate TBD
Jeopardy! has done away with specialized tournaments like its College Tournaments, Kids Week, and Professor's Tournament to gear towards a more sports-like model, with Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.
Other versions of Jeopardy! have fizzled out throughout the years as well, like Sports Jeopardy!.
Fans were ecstatic to see a former Survivor player dominate on Jeopardy! with one writing on a Reddit thread, "It's a great day to be someone who only watches Jeopardy! and Survivor."
