"I hate saying this but i have to cancel lollapalooza and outside lands," Tyler, 33, revealed.

"I made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were. that is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love," he concluded.

Tyler shared the same message on his Instagram Stories on Thursday morning.

Megan Thee Stallion filled the artist's slot at Lollapalooza, and he was replaced by Sabrina Carpenter for Outside Lands.

His website hasn't been updated to reflect the cancellations.

Fans immediately voiced their frustrations about Tyler no longer performing at either festival, with some demanding refunds.

"Why did you cancel on your fans at lollapalooza?? We would at least like to know. You were the only reason me friends and I were going on Thursday... to say we're disappointed and upset, is an understatement...

"@lollapalooza GIVE ME A REFUND IMMEDIATELY FOR THURSDAY. I AM NOT INTERESTED WITHOUT Tyler . THIS IS THE WORST LINEUP IN YEARS AND YOU JUST MADE IT WORSE. give me a refund RIGHT NOW, or let people switch from Thursday," one upset fan ranted on X.

"NOOOOO I WAS LITERALLY GOING TO GO TO OUTSIDE LANDS," a second wrote.

The full lineup for Lollapalooza was released in mid-March, and the four-day festival will kick off in Chicago, Illinois, on August 1.

Outside Lands, scheduled to begin on August 9 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, dropped its three-day lineup in May.

Other headliners for Lollapalooza include SZA, Blink-182, Hozier, and Skrillex, while the main acts performing at Outside Lands are Post Malone, The Killers, Reneé Rapp, and Victoria Monét.

Tyler last headlined both festivals in 2021, singing tracks from his album Call Me If You Get Lost.

The record earned him The Best Rap Album award at the 2022 Grammys, angering critics who thought Kanye West and others were more deserving of the honor.

"Tyler the creator won a Grammy for rap album of the year over Nas, Drake, Kanye West, and J.Cole. That doesn't make sense lol. All four mentioned are legends in they own right. But Tyler the Creator? Hip Hop is dead," one person wrote on X.

"Tyler didn't deserve it," another complained.

"Tyler’s flows and storytelling really shined on this album. But sonically I really enjoy Donda more," someone else said in favor of Kanye West's Donda album.

"Tyler the creator dominated but I think Kanye West deserved it," a fourth echoed.
