‘Threw out after one bite’ say Trader Joe’s fans as store brings back $5.99 ready-to-eat option
Several items have made a comeback for the summer
TRADER Joe's fans have shared their disgust over a $5.99 ready-to-eat item that has made a comeback.
One customer said it was so bad, they threw it out after just one bite.

Trader Joe's has brought back two ready-to-eat sushi options for the summer.
Fans on Reddit noticed that both the California rolls and vegetable rolls are back in the refrigerator section.
The California rolls are made with imitation crab meat, cucumber, and avocado.
The vegetable rolls are filled with carrots, avocado, and cucumber.

Both are priced at $5.99 for a pack of six rolls.
According to the Trader Joe's website: "Our California Roll is made in the traditional Japanese style, starting with white rice that’s seasoned with rice vinegar, and layered with a sheet of dried nori seaweed.
"Before it’s rolled, we add fresh cucumber, avocado, and imitation crab made from Alaskan pollock. It’s finished with a sprinkle of white and black sesame seeds."
However, customers are reporting that the rolls do not live up to expectations.

"As an equal opportunity sushi nut who will eat even the meh-iest of rolls, I threw mine out after one bite," said one on Reddit.
Another wrote: "I remember having TJ sushi for the first time ever back in 2010. It made me hate sushi for 8 years until I went to a Japanese restaurant."
"I heaved just seeing the picture!" said one.
Another chimed in: "The rice was worse than most supermarket sushi rolls and far worse than Whole Foods."
One even went as far as to say a Trader Joe's cashier had warned them not to buy it.
"The one time I tried to buy sushi from TJ's the cashier warned me that it was awful and it's one thing you should never buy from TJ's so I put it back," they wrote.

Trader Joe's has reintroduced numerous new items for the summer, but not all of them have proved popular.
Baked pizza-flavored pillow crisps have made a comeback, which the store promises is "an excellent snack if you’re craving something light and savory."
However, one on Reddit posted about the snack, calling it "absolute trash" and rating it "0/10."
"These are horrendous," they wrote. "Barely any pizza flavor.
