Set to be one of the biggest in the country - with 50 attractions across the 750-acre resort - it will have five themed lands.

Three have already revealed, being Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon and Super Nintendo World.

And the latest world to be revealed is a much more spooky affair.

Dark Universe will see guests head straight to the towering Frankenstein Manor, the focal point of the land.

One of the main attraction's is Universals 'most terrifying one yet'.

Guests on the dark ride Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment will travel through the catacombs of Frankenstein
Manor, greeted by terrifying monsters following failed experiments from Dr. Victoria Frankenstein.

Creatures including The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Creature
from the Black Lagoon, the Brides of Dracula and others will terrify riders along the way.

Another ride will be the Curse of the Werewolf, a spinning family coaster where guests try to escape the werewolves themselves.

Another unique attraction will be the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, where everything from face paint and temporary tattoos will be used to turn guests into monsters.

Meet and greets will also be part of the experience, with characters including the Bride of Frankenstein and Victoria Frankenstein’s servant, Ygor.

The website explains about the new land: "Nestled within the blackened stone walls of the town, guests will embark on unique adventures where they can get made up to look like their favorite monsters, spin through the woods aboard a thrilling family coaster, enjoy unique dining establishments, enter Frankenstein Manor to brave Universal Orlando’s most chilling ride ever, and more."

What can we expect from Epic Universe?

The Sun's Head of Travel Lisa Minot explains what this new theme park means for the industry:

THE astonishing scale of  Epic Universe - with five fabulous new lands - will see Universal Resort Orlando challenging its arch rival Walt Disney World like never before.

I've always adored Universal's quirky sense of humour and total immersion. It's Wizarding World of Harry Potter rewrote the rule book when it came to attention to detail when it launched in 2010 with the incredible Hogsmeade.

No one had done authentic, immersive theme park lands like them before and it saw even the likes of Disney rushing to catch up.

And since then, they have been on a roll with a raft of exciting openings from the thrills of the Velociraptor ride in Jurassic Park to the quite brilliant Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

With three parks - Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Islands of Adventure and now Epic Universe as well as the Volcano Bay water park and eight onsite hotels, you could spend an entire trip just exploring the wonderful worlds.

I can't wait to see what astonishing new experiences they will deliver with the new park. It's going to be Epic!

Celestial Park

The central land of the park will be Celestial Park, with 'portals' to all the other lands.

The main ride will be the dual-launch rollercoaster Starfall Racers, with speeds up to 62mph and heights up to 133ft.

Other rides include the Constellation Carousel, in the middle of the land and wet-play area Astronomica.

Food options include the the Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant, Victorian-themed Atlantic and The Oak & Star Tavern, along with Pizza Moon for snacks.

The 500-room Universal Helios Grand Hotel will also be at Celestial Park, with guests having their own entrance into the theme park.

Super Nintendo World

Similar to the one already open at Universal Studios Hollywood, the Super Nintendo World will allow guests to act out some of their favourite interactions from the games.

Entering via the iconic green pipe, guests will be able to meet all of the characters including Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach.

The main ride will be the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge.

The AR racing game, found in Bowsers' Castle, will let passengers steer along the many racing tracks while collecting coins and throwing shells.

Another ride is Yoshi's Adventure, with passengers collecting eggs while travelling through the Mushroom Kingdom.

And shops including Toadstool Cafe will serve themed snacks such as Super Mushroom Soup, with other food found at Yoshi's Snack Island and Turbo Boost Treats.

Family coaster Hiccup's Wing Gliders will let passengers fly through the air alongside Hiccup and Toothless.

And Fyre Drill guests will be able to fire water cannons at targets from a dragon boat.

Other rides include Dragon Racer's Rally, Biking Training Camp and live show The Untrainable Dragon.
